Meaning of DMIT ?

Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test (DMIT) is a scientific study of our fingerprint patterns. It is based on the understanding of different scientific fields like Neuroscience, Genetics, Psychology, Dermatoglyphics and Embryology. DMIT helps in better understanding of an individual’s personality attributes, innate abilities, interests and potentials.

What is Dermatoglyphics?

The term Dermatoglyphics originates from two Greek words (Derma & Glyphe) and was coined by Dr Harold Cummins, the father of American fingerprint analysis.

  • DERMA = SKIN
  • GLYPHE = CURVE

The Dermatoglyphics is branch of science which studies the skin (dermal) ridges patterns present on human fingers, toes and the soles. The fingerprints or dermal ridge patterns on fingers, toes and soles are unique with each individual, even between twins. The other most important aspect of fingerprints is that the dermal ridge pattern does not change with the age of a person. It remains the same during the lifetime of a person and until the complete decomposition of the body after death.

What is the Multiple Intelligence Tests?

Multiple Intelligence - The theory of multiple intelligences was proposed in 1983 to analyze and describe the concept of intelligence. It argues that the concept of intelligence as traditionally explained in psychometrics (IQ tests) does not sufficiently describe the various types of cognitive abilities that humans display.

The Multiple Intelligence is a scientific method of understanding the Human Brain Lobes and its usages. It was first introduced by Dr H. Gardner, in his book called – “Frames of Mind”. It explained that every person has 8 different types of multiple intelligences and everybody has different ratios of Multiple Intelligences, they are:

  • Visual-Spatial Intelligence
  • Verbal-Linguistic Intelligence
  • Intrapersonal Intelligence
  • Logical-Mathematical Intelligence
  • Naturalistic Intelligence
  • Interpersonal Intelligence
  • Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence
  • Musical Rhythmic Intelligence

The Multiple Intelligence reveals that there exist a strong link between our fingers and our intrinsic qualities and talents. By undergoing Multiple Intelligence Analysis you can know your talents and various intelligence modalities. This analysis can assist you in achieving better education, personal and professional success in life. By knowing your true potentials earlier in your life, you can make the right efforts to enhance and train your weaknesses. Also different learning processes can be tried to make learning any subject/topic more pleasurable and effective.

What is Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test (DMIT)?

The combination of Dermatoglyphics science and Multiple Intelligence Theory has developed an accurate method to provide comprehensive information to an individual about its personality with the help of fingerprints analysis and is known as Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test (DMIT). It is a combined scientific study of Human Brain Lobes, various types of Multiple Intelligence and Human Psychology with the analysis of one’s fingerprints.

In our fingerprints, each shape and patterns formation has a reason which depends on many intrinsic factors of an individual. You can discover your inborn potential by identifying the forms and various types of ridge patterns on your fingers by DMIT analysis.

Scientists and medical experts have formulated a DMIT Test Assessment method and have been accepted by many developed countries like USA, Sweden, Japan, Taiwan, etc. Medical practitioners and approved clinical experiences confirmed that the human fingerprints do provide an accurate analysis of humans’ Multiple Intelligences and Inborn Potential. Traditionally, only IQ test was used to be a measurement tool for a degree of intelligence an individual possesses. However, DMIT test has many variables and functions and helps to give a more diverse picture of aptitude and intelligence, keeping in mind the different kinds of intelligence that a person may have.

This reveals that the DMIT test has a more wide scope as compared to a normal IQ (Psychometric) test as it deals with various kinds of intelligence and skills that a person or child may possess.

Statistics show that the accuracy rate of DMIT can be up to 100%. Hence it is used in many educational institutions in countries like Sweden, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, etc. It is also used for Human Resource Management, Children Memory Enhancements Programs, and for Career Guidance & Counselling processes.

Fingerprints and Brain Connection

Fingerprints are closely associated with the brain development at the embryonic stage. Fingerprints usually start to develop during the 13th to 19th week of the foetus (fetal) development and are completed by the 24th week. Many research papers have elaborated that there exists a link between Fingerprint Patterns and Human Brain lobes. Research has proved that the finger’s ridged skin pattern formations are controlled by individuals’ chromosomes and are influenced by polygenic inheritance. Anatomically, our hands dominate all other organs in terms of relative importance. This is why the brain dedicates the majority of approximately two hundred million nerve endings in the hands. In other words, the hands are sources of physiological and psychological information of any individual.

Fingerprints and Brain Lobes

The human brain lobes can be analyzed depending on the formation and amount of ridges present in the fingerprints.

Pre-Frontal Lobe Execution & cognitive Function, Personality - connected to Thumb
Frontal Lobe Thinking & Imagination power – connected to Index Finger
Parietal Lobe Kinesthetics - connected to Middle Finger
Occipital Lobe Visual Processing - connected to Little (Baby) Finger
Temporal Lobe Sound and Speech Processing - connected to Ring finger
  • Medical experts confirmed that each person’s fingerprints are unique and represents a different set of characteristics to an individual.
  • The syndication of fingerprints is recognized as the representation of human brain cells.
  • The fingerprint development depends on the proportion & distribution of the brain lobes.
  • Children with learning difficulties will have variation in fingerprints in comparison to intelligent children.

How DMIT works?

This science work towards in understanding and categorization of fingerprint patterns and shapes. It also tries to map specific patterns of human behaviour, habits, brain formation and specific skills. After decades of research and categorization of huge number of shapes, patterns and curves of fingerprints, a software algorithm is made in which on entering a fingerprint, codes related to these shapes, unique personality attributes and characters are estimated and explained to that person.

Only trained and certified DMIT consultant who has gone through detailed training is able to identify correct ridge patterns and categorise the personality attributes efficiently.

ElysianTM has experienced certified DMIT experts who are not only knowledgeable but efficient enough in their skills to watch every single step and modify algorithm based on counsellors before finalizing a DMIT assessment report of an individual.

Frequently Asked Questions!

1) Is Dermatoglyphics testing scientific or Medical basic?

Dermatoglyphics testing is firmly rooted in science, offering a unique perspective on your natural abilities without any medical complexities.

2) How will a Dermatoglyphics Assessment benefit my child?

Every child possesses unique qualities and potential. If we can understand a child's innate characteristics and aptitude through scientific methods like DMIT analysis, we can enhance their learning experience. When a child is naturally strong in certain areas, clarity in their abilities allows them to develop those strengths further. Conversely, if a child has weaker attributes and they are not nurtured during critical developmental stages, those abilities may diminish over time. Therefore, providing the right stimulation and support early on is vital to prevent the deterioration of precious abilities.

3) How does the DMIT Analysis Work?

The DMIT test works by collecting and analysing genetically defined fingerprint patterns. These patterns are believed to be genetically linked and reflect the innate potential of any person. The analysis involves identifying various intelligences, such as logical-mathematical, linguistic, spatial, interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical, kinesthetic, and naturalistic. The results are then used to provide insights into an individual's strengths and weaknesses, helping guide career choices and educational paths.

4) What is the best age for the DMIT test?

DMIT Test for children is an extremely popular choice. Childhood- which is basically the age of 8 years to 12 years is a crucial age for any individual.
